Özet

Günümüzde giderek daha fazla kuruluş, yeni bilgi yaratılması ve yenilik gerektiren sektörlerde faaliyet göstermektedir. Bu tür ortamlara uyum sağlamak ve başarılı olmak için kurumlar daha fazla bilgi odaklı hale gelmekte ve bilgili uzmanları istihdam etme eğiliminde olmaktadırlar. Bu uzmanlar “bilgi çalışanları” olarak adlandırılmakta ve organizasyonun yenilikçiliğinin ve rekabet avantajının itici güçleridir. Dolayısıyla özerklik ve kontrol gücü bu tür işçilerin elindedir. Ancak yenilikçi sonuçların belirsizliği ve karmaşıklığı ile başarılı bir şekilde yüzleşmek için bu tür çalışanların işbirliği yapması ve ekipler oluşturması gerekiyor. Bu makale, bu tür bilgi çalışanı ekiplerinde güçlendirmenin rolünü eleştirel bir şekilde incelemektedir. Özellikle bilgi çalışanlarının ekip çalışması gereksinimleriyle takım güçlendirmesine yönelik potansiyel, anlam, otonomi ve etki boyutlarının ne ölçüde eşleştiğini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.
